This summer, we are proud to announce that the company has been awarded bronze status in the Fleet Operation Recognition Scheme (FORS), a voluntary accreditation scheme for vehicle compliance and safety awareness.
We had a full assessment by a FORS auditor at our Head Office branch at New Malden and successfully passed the first stage and all criteria in the scheme to be awarded bronze.
To receive this accreditation, we had to prove that we constantly monitor and improve safety, emissions and fuel efficiency. We showed our action plan for improvements moving forward by keeping up to date with industry changes and regulations.
The bronze accreditation means that our New Malden branch now demonstrates best practices in safety and improved operations. Now that the Head Office has the bronze status, we will be able to use the same procedures to gain FORS endorsement across our nine other branches.
Martin Roberts, Transport Manager at Champion Timber, says “it’s great that we have been awarded bronze status by FORS. We pride ourselves on not only high-quality timber but also on high levels of safety and believe it is important to constantly look at ways we can improve. We will be implementing our procedures across all branches and will work our way up the FORS accreditation ladder.”
