About Our Chipboard
Chipboard – also sometimes referred to as Particle Board or Low-Density Fibreboard – is made by mixing small wood particles with epoxy resin, which are pressed together under intense heat and pressure to produce a rigid board, typically with a smooth surface.
What is Chipboard used for?
In most cases, chipboard (particle board) is used alongside other building materials to create melamine coated Kitchen worktops, kitchen cabinets, flooring and flooring insulation/underlay. These boards are a cost effective product constructed of recycled wood particles so they are suitable for the environment.
We have a range of high quality chipboard sheets for flooring applications and a white covered Chipboard ideal for shelving. Our Chipboard is perfect for flooring applications, offering a moisture-resistant P5 grading that's excellent for use in kitchens, bathrooms and extensions. You can also find white, melamine-faced chipboard which is ideal for building shelving in kitchens or bedrooms.
